Griffin
Digital prints text pages on one-colour (black) digital sheet-fed machines. Covers
can be printed on either four-colour (CYMK) digital machines or computer-to-plate
offset printing equipment. It is also possible to digitally print books with internal
colour sections. Griffin Digital provides lamination and perfect
binding, together with saddle-stitching, folding, coil binding and wire binding
facilities. Other binding options (sewn, case bound) are available on request.
In 2001, Griffin Digital (dbooks) was awarded the inaugural
Digital Book of the Year award from the Galley Club of Sydney, which is a peak
representative body of publishers, printers and pre-press houses. In
2004, Griffin Digital won two awards in the categories of 'Short run digitally
printed book' and 'Limited edition book - no price limit'. These awards were both
won by a book titled Shane's Story published by Peter Hunter.
In 2005, Griffin Digital received the Galley Club of NSW "Digitally printed book" Award for "The Will to Win" published by "This is my Story", our congratulations to Stephanie Cook at "This is my Story" and to everyone at Griffin Digital.
Griffin Digital has to date, has won every 'Short run digitally printed book' award, since the inception of the category 5 years ago.
